Handmade Stoneware Fermentation Jar for Kimchi, Sauerkraut & Pickles

Create delicious homemade ferments with this handmade stoneware fermentation jar, designed for making kimchi, sauerkraut, pickles and other naturally fermented vegetables at home.

Each jar is individually handmade in our Cotswold studio from high-quality UK stoneware clay and finished with a beautiful blue-green and cream food-safe glaze. The subtle speckling and natural variations in the glaze give every piece its own character, so no two jars are exactly alike.

Water-Seal Fermentation Design

The specially shaped rim creates a water seal, helping to keep outside air from entering the jar while allowing gases produced during fermentation to escape through the water seal.

The jar comes with ceramic fermentation weights, which help keep your vegetables submerged during fermentation.

Handmade in the Cotswolds

This is not mass-produced pottery. Each fermentation crock is handcrafted on the pottery wheel in our home studio, then carefully dried, fired and glazed.

Because every piece is handmade, you may notice small variations in the shape, dimensions, glaze and natural speckling.
