This 6-piece sake set includes one serving jug, one ceramic warmer and four matching sake cups, all handmade individually in our small home pottery studio in the Cotswolds.

Each piece is hand thrown on the potter’s wheel, carefully shaped and hand glazed before being fired to approximately 1230°C. The soft light blue glaze is complemented by natural earthy tones around the base, giving the set a rustic, contemporary look while retaining the character of handmade pottery.

Why it is special

This is not factory-made tableware. Every piece is made by hand, so subtle differences in shape, glaze and finish are part of what makes the set unique.

The six pieces are designed to work beautifully together as a Japanese-style sake serving set, making it lovely for relaxed evenings at home, entertaining friends or creating a special drinks display.

This is a small-batch handmade piece made with time, care and plenty of hands-on pottery work, rather than something produced by the thousand. Which, inconveniently for mass production, is exactly why it feels special.
